
Graduate job opportunity with FWAG – Climate Change Technical Project Officer
The graduate will be paid £210 per week for an 8-week placement

FWAG, in partnership with Climate SouthWest, are seeking a recent graduate to build on their existing set of information and resources that help farmers address the challenges posed by our changing climate. This will include the production of a set of case studies to demonstrate the positive actions that farmers are taking to; improve their resource efficiency; reduce flood and soil erosion risks; manage their trees and woodlands; and increase farmland biodiversity. There will also be opportunities for the graduate to learn more about FWAG’s work and to accompany FWAG advisers on visits to local farms. This will offer the successful candidate invaluable experience relevant to a future career in the areas of sustainable land management / agriculture / conservation / climate change. Minehead EYE are pleased to launch a Young Advisors scheme for West Somerset.
Young Advisors are young people aged between 15 and 21 who stimulate social action by showing community leaders and decision makers how to engage young people in community life, regeneration and renewal. Young Advisors is a national scheme and Minehead EYE have been awarded funding from West Somerset Council’s Working Neighbourhood’s Fund to deliver the scheme in West Somerset.
